Our traditional mongolian yurt is ideal for couples, but also provides a comfortable space for a family of four with small children or a group of friends. It’s lined with sheep-wool felt overlayed with silk and lashed together with ropes and set on a raised wooden platform with views across the rolling countryside.

The interior décor is a blend of Vintage and Shabby Chic, inspired by the colours and textures of the surrounding countryside. The soft furnishings, rugs and furniture provide a light, welcoming and relaxing space for you to enjoy, whilst the wood burning stove, fire guard and logs & electric heater provide the warmth you need on those chilly evenings. Solar, fairy and electric lighting is provided.

The fully enclosed Dining Cabin adjacent to the yurt, is equipped with a wood-burning stove, kindling & logs, fairy and electric lighting, table & chairs & Charcoal BBQ – a perfect area for chatting, eating & drinking whatever the weather!

Your own designated kitchen is located within 5 metres of your yurt for your convenience, and is equipped with a electric mini oven, large fridge-freezer, kettle, crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans, utensils table and 2 chairs. A washing up area is located nearby equipped with washing up liquid, dish cloths, hand and tea towels.

Your own well appointed washroom has an instant hot shower, hand basin, mirror, towel and flushing toilet. .

The two yurts Oak and Willow co-located make up the Lakeside Yurt Retreat, just a few metres apart they comfortably sleep ten guests. The interior décor in both yurts is contemporary and they provide a light airy space, whilst the large wood burning stove, coal and logs or electric radiator keep you warm on those chilly nights.

Oak Yurt

Oak yurt sleeps four guests and is equipped with a double bed and two single futons, bedside tables & lamp, mirror, settle, clothes rail, electric & fairy lighting and power sockets.

Willow Yurt

Willow Yurt sleeps six guests and is equipped with two double sofa beds, one double and 2 single trundle beds, a wood burning stove with kindling, coal and logs, wardrobe, storage box, large mirror, electric lighting and plug sockets.

Setting:

With views overlooking two small lakes, the outdoor space is equipped with a large fully enclosed Dining cabin with picnic bench, wood burning stove & logs, fairy lighting, a small fridge to chill your drinks and power sockets. In addition you have a BBQ, fire bowl, tables, chairs and Giant benches, so you can enjoy alfresco dining, watch the sunset or even do a spot of star gazing!

Cooking:

Your designated kitchenette is equipped with an electric mini oven, toaster, kettle, large fridge-freezer, crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans, utensils and washing up facilities.

Washing:

The two well appointed washrooms with instant hot showers, basins, wall hair dryers, mirrors and flushing toilet come equipped with toilet roll, soap and hand towels.

Our Moroccan yurt comfortably sleeps six to eight people, making it ideal for a family or group of friends. Inside your yurt is equipped with one double sofa bed, two double and two single futons which can be used as seating during the day, a large wood-burning stove with fire guard, kindling, coal and logs, electric radiator for instant warmth, electric and solar lighting and plenty of storage space. The interior décor takes on a Moroccan theme, enhanced with richly coloured cushions and rugs, electric and solar ceiling lighting creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The large enclosed Dining cabin seats up to 12 guests and is equipped with a picnic bench, sofa, wood burning stove with coal & logs, Moroccan lighting and a charcoal BBQ with firelighters, charcoal & utensils provided.

Your own fully equipped kitchen is adjacent to the yurt and forms part of the large fully enclosed Dining cabin. It is equipped with an electric mini oven with 2 burners, large fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans and utensils. Hand & tea towels, washing up liquid, and dishcloths are provided in the washing up area which is located c 30 metres away.
